Vaudreuil was born in the West Indies of white French parentage. The term Creole is used in the historic sense; meaning that his mother was born in the West Indies of French ancestry as opposed to his father who was born in France. This article is not to imply that Vaudreuil was of mixed ancestry. jeanne ( talk) 12:42, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
I have never read Vidal's book, but given the nature of Vaudreuil and his documented fescination for women, not to the mention his total dominance over Gabrielle, one can safely conclude that the pair had a sexual relationship. The Vidal book that the last editor referanced needs a proper citation, with a page number. jeanne ( talk) 06:51, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
This page also exists in French, but there is no link to it. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph-Hyacinte_de_Rigaud
I don't know how to fix this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.167.54.37 ( talk) 02:02, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, somebody needs to either put up some citations or remove most of this all together, it sounds like a vile, slanderous hit piece right now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.151.139.15 ( talk) 01:53, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
