![]() | This article contains a translation of José Antonio Lacayo de Briones y Palacios from es.wikipedia. |
I am removing much of this article because it is extraneous. The many ancestors and descendants of the subject should not be included in this article, as they are not directly linked to the achievements of the subject. Doggiewoggie October 6, 2007
The principal source for this article is its Spanish counterpart (See José Antonio Lacayo de Briones y Palacios). However, it was restructured for clarity and wikilinks were added. Some of the included material is only peripherally related to the subject of the article. Sections pertaining to descendents were omitted as being beyond the scope of this article; they might serve as the basis of another, e.g., "Lacayo (family)". J. Peterka 14:27, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Dear Mr. Doggiebooggie, are you in any way shape or form related to the Lacyo family? If not, please do not interfere with our writing of our family history. Thank you. Raul Antonio Lacayo Ralacayo ( talk) 06:23, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
Who are you to judge what should or should not be included in this article about Lacayo de Briones? The Lacayo family is very large in Central America and all of its members enjoy reading about history, particularly if it is related to the family (ancient) origins. It does no harm to anybody to have this historical background and, as mentioned, members of the Lacayo family certainly enjoy it. Why should you get on the way?
This comment goes as well for Mr. Agricolae. Ralacayo ( talk) 02:14, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
While there may be a place on Wikipedia for the kind of detail being provided on the history of the region around Briones, it is not appropriate for an article on a 17th century individual who happened to have Briones as a surname. Articles should be relatively narrowly focussed on their subject. Agricolae ( talk) 14:06, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
