This whole bio/career separation idea needs a lot of work to help it make sense. It is a little jarring. The "career" page should have something in the heading about this separation because it is atypical. -- 75.24.211.225 06:13, 26 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Whoa. Now that I have skimmed this material, I can see that a lot of it belongs back on the "career" page. This is going to be tricky. We should try hard to avoid a lot of duplication. We might even need some guidelines because he made a lot of high-profile appearances that were as much about his celebrity as his music. -- 75.24.211.225 06:23, 26 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Spinning out of control

Folks: One day ago, User:Lincalinca broke out this "biography" section from the main "Johnyy Cash" page. What he did does not represent a lot of work or new information. What this page is a just a copy of what was in the main JC page (which has since been restored). This is not new info, so please do not blindly defend it according to some rule. If we leave it around, people are going to start to develope this page, which is probably not a good thing. I think that what was needed was a better thought-out and execute attempt to delegate some parts of the main JC page to some other page. Would the non-contributing reverters and rule-citers please stay out of the process? -- 64.175.42.87 19:19, 26 June 2006 (UTC) reply

I will let you rule-oriented people figure out how best to handle this page. I am going to ignore it as a bit of unfortunate untidiness and hope that nobody spends their time trying to further develop it. -- 64.175.42.87 19:33, 26 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Merge

If merge is the correct tag, then wonder. I do not believe that there is anthing on this page that is not already on the Johnny Cash or Johnny Cash lists pages. -- 64.175.42.87 00:30, 27 June 2006 (UTC) reply

God forbid that we do anything out-of-process, but would some kind admin just shoot this dead horse of an article when the time for the "merger discussion" is over? -- 67.116.253.187 23:14, 28 June 2006 (UTC) reply
In general, an admin can't just delete a page without consensus from other editors. See Wikipedia:Guide to deletion for the various options available. -- Pak21 08:10, 29 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Build the album pages

I and User:Cromag recently revamped Johnny Cash discography and started album pages for most of Cash's catalog. If Johnny Cash is getting too crowded, then add album and song specific info to the relevant album pages. I think that is a more natural fix than spining off information to this page or Johnny Cash lists Alcuin 03:34, 28 July 2006 (UTC) reply
