I thought John the Armenian was one of the commanders in Battle of Tricamarum and died shortly after that in 533 or 534 because of hunting accident. (see: The Prosopography of the Later Roman Empire: A. D. 527-641, page 635–636 and Ian Hughes: Belisarius: The last Roman general ISBN 978-1-59416-085-1, page 259) Or is this article about different person? The article says that he was killed in ambush near Ravenna in 535, but I thought there was no Byzantine troops in Italy in 535 as Belisarius invaded in 536? -- Barosaurus Lentus ( talk) 11:34, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
