Disclosing conflict of interest
I am the son of the subject. The only edit I have made so far is to add a template intended to suggest that the article should describe where he lived when he did most of his academic work, not where he lives now. Probably the only edit I will make, but since he did notice there was a wikipedia article about him and I know about wikipedia policies, I thought I should disclose this and (maybe) help others improve the article by helping find sources or the like. The biggest issue I noticed with the article as it stands now is that it much of it aims to summarize and/or review his work, and that's a bit tricky given
WP:OR,
WP:UNDUE, etc. The paragraph on America the Unusual, which only cites the book itself, raised my eyebrows on
WP:PRIMARY (although to be fair it is being used as a source only for what the book itself says, so it is an issue of whether you can reduce a book to a paragraph more so than
WP:SYNTH).
