Titles

Altered first entry in:

Titles from birth to death

  • Master John Pitt (1756–1761)
  • The Honourable John Pitt (1761–1766)
  • Viscount Pitt (1766–1778)

from Mr. to Master, as all infants then in the British Isles were legally Master until they reached 21 --- kinda like reaching the Toga Virilis.

Strictly, I guess the second entry would also be Master, but I can't say how that was combined with The Honourable without sounding unbearably stuffy. Claverhouse ( talk) 18:56, 3 April 2018 (UTC) reply
