Zappa quote

I removed the Zappa quote mainly because it appears in a section called "Influence", and the quote does nothing at all to suggest that Zappa was in any way influenced by McLaughlin, nor have I heard this suggested anywhere else. (I've read countless interviews with both musicians and Zappa's memoir). I don't think the Zappa quote belongs anywhere else in the article either, though, considering that Zappa never played with McLaughlin, consistently disavowed jazz, and was never a professional music critic. Moreover, the quote conveys no real information (McLaughlin can play fast but Zappa doesn't always like what McLaughlin plays? So what and who cares?) Agreed, good call. - DVdm ( talk) 10:34, 1 February 2020 (UTC) reply
