The following is a closed discussion of a
requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a
move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: consensus to move the first article to
John Longworth (lawyer), but no consensus to move the other article to the plain title; I have created a first draft of a disambiguation page for the two articles.

Support 1st move, but oppose 2nd move per
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Neither of these people seems to be the primary topic for the name "John Longworth". The businessman has more notability now, but that's largely because the controversy that led to his notability occurred very recently (March 2016). The
page views tool shows that, although the businessman has received more traffic in the time since his article was created, the amount of traffic has been very unstable, and has at times dipped to levels not too far above the political figure. It is likely that in the long term, neither person will be the primary topic.
