Please clarify how he was POW in Alcatraz. At the first glance it looks like a joke, but this text was by the original article creator. So I see three possibilities:

OK. Did some google research. The phrase in question was copied into the article from the cited source [1], so user:Rlevse is off the hook. On the other hand goole search for alcatraz+vietnam gives an interesting reference, which says that a group of tough inmates of Hoa Lo prison were known as the Alcatraz Gang.
