The reference to the Chicago fire is not in the correct chronological order. The Great Fire was in 1871. Any ideas?

This section uses words like "unfairly" to show bias for John Evans, and goes on to qualify his commemoration in Colorado as "much like" the way modern American soldiers are commemorated for war-time battles in the Middle East. It's extremely disheartening to see a Wikipedia article with this much blatant favoritism.

While away, the property he sold was lost in the Great Chicago Fire.
"An order by Evans to shoot on sight any member of any tribe had been approved by Lincoln." Is there a citation? Did Lincoln like blacks more than natives? Flight Risk ( talk) 23:51, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
