Curious

Very strange - the reports of death and funeral seem plausible, the funeral one mentions "Sir Duncan Alexander Cameron, G.C.B. (brother of [the deceased])", but ODNB doesn't mention this John Cameron at all, the record for Duncan Alexander Cameron (1808-1888) calls him "only son of ...", and the record for "Cameron, Sir John (1773–1844)", says he married and "They had one son, Sir Duncan Alexander Cameron (1808–1888)". Something strange. Pam D 22:55, 8 January 2015 (UTC) reply

Yes, I noticed that too. Something is amiss for it's not often that the DNB is in error. I created this rudimentary stub with the hope that someone else would round out the material.   Peter Mercator ( talk) 11:34, 9 January 2015 (UTC) reply
