I added the von back to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Yes, he wasn't born with the name, but the standard is to use the name by which someone is generally known. There is certainly nothing incorrect about it! Ultimately, the most important point is that the article on the man resides at Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and the move back to that standard name received more discussion there than it would ever attract here. I feel quite confident in my suggestion that, if anyone doesn't like the title of this page, their first job is to convince a larger audience of editors that Johann Wolfgang von Goethe be moved. If that article is moved by consensus, then by all means we should change the name of this one to agree. Wareh 20:31, 24 April 2007 (UTC) reply

This list is useless

The list here is very incomplete. In fact, I think more works are mentioned in the main article. Someone should import the other titles from the German version of this article; in fact there's a lot that could be imported from the German version of this article, as the English one is rather lacking. request to add Glückliche Fahrt

See [1]. Seems to have inspired music by some famous composers. See Meeresstille und glückliche Fahrt. So there would be some easy links to add right away. Thanks. DavidRF ( talk) 17:33, 26 February 2009 (UTC) reply

Der neue Paris

Should this be added to his prose stories? ‑‑ Yodin T 16:11, 12 March 2023 (UTC) reply
