Behind a paywall so just linking it here. From comments and a few quotes I've seen from the article might be something good for someone with more expertise than I and access to include some notable things from. ‘Joey Votto is playing chess, and the rest of us are playing checkers’: Reds first baseman may be the most interesting man in baseball Phil ( talk)
It would seem to this editor that a lot of the citations needed links are easily checked using Baseball Reference's tools, such as the dates and information around Votto's first stolen base and other events. I'm not a Reds fan by any means, but that sounds like something that one of the Cincinnati faithful could get done on here. Jwhouk 23:43, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
