Is it now worth creating a separate page of a list for Root's international centuries? He now has 20 international centuries overall and now that he also has been given the Test captaincy for England, it would allow for more detail on his centuries and which centuries were pre-captaincy and during captaincy. He's also the only one of the current "Fab Four" all-format (and in particular Test) batsmen ( Smith, Kohli, Williamson and himself) [1] to not have one. Joalhe1997 ( talk) 15:29, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

Do we seriously need sub sections on every single International series he's played in? The article is already long and by the time his career is over this will be the longest sport article in WP. LibStar ( talk) 06:43, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
Could whoever keeps editing this please stop, or alternatively provide a source that proves it is correct (and not just your birthday) Spike 'em ( talk) 15:40, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
I was about to revert the change but looked into it first. Turns out it was me who introduced his sisters in this edit. I don't remember adding them, even less where I got the information from and none of the refs I added support their existence. A brief search shows that it is most likely a crude joke based on the Australian meaning of "root", which when combined with those particular names leads to much hilarity. Sorry! Root now has a test match 5 wicket haul and best figures of 5/8 in tests.
The stats bar should be updated to reflect this (it already has been for first class matches). 77.100.133.150 ( talk) 02:24, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
