I changed the phrase "acting Governor" to just "Governor." Joe was not just a substitute, but the real governor of Arkansas for those few days.
Yes, that's correct. He has a portrait in the Arkansas Capitol that is hanging with the portraits of all the other former governors. larryyoko —Preceding

I repeat - Joe Purcell was not the acting governor, but the sworn in governor of the state of Arkansas. Pryor resigned. He didn't just leave the state for a few days. Joe was inaugurated. He has a portrait hanging in the State Capitol with his dates of service as Governor. I live less than a mile from the Capitol. Frankly, though, I think this is a silly argument and the man from Canada can have the last edit if he wants it. I'm thinking this little tid-bit in his Wiki entry might be a hack, no? Frank0051 ( talk) 01:17, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
