Hello all, For his birthyear see here -> [2]. The Hollywood Reporter is wrong. She died at 95. I put a source in his article for her birth in Newcastle and the article is dated (updated) February 26, 2013. And in this article she said she is 90 years old, which matches. She is older than Stan Lee, not younger. -- Danielvis08 ( talk) 10:44, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
Article says she married a serviceman whom she later divorced. This first husband isn't mentioned in the Infobox. Does anyone have more information to put into the Infobox? 76.254.25.55 ( talk) 15:43, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
@Emir of Wikipedia -- May it please the Emir, your highness, that the date of birth for Joan Boocock Lee was uncovered during my exhaustive search of California City Directories, which found the following listing for one
Name: Joan B Lee
Birth Date: 5 Feb 1922
Address:
[9143 Oriole Way, Los Angeles, CA, 90069-1125 (1981)]
[9143 Oriole Way, Los Angeles, CA, 90069-1125 (1996)]
[6007 Sepulveda Blvd, Van Nuys, CA, 91411-2502 (1985)]
That the couple resided at 9143 Oriole Way is confirmed here and here.
-- Also, I do not believe Joan Boocock's middle name, if she had one at all, was Clayton; that was her mother's maiden name and the name "Clayton" happened to be listed in the mother's maiden name column directly alongside the subject's forename ("Joan"), making it look like "Joan Clayton" in the oft-mentioned birth registry record from 1st Quarter 1922 in the General Records Office of England and Wales. This source is not reliable in my opinion as it appears to simply replicate boilerplate info found in numerous other sources and mirror sites. Yours, Quis separabit? 00:56, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
Is it just me, or does that seem oddly phrased? 11 months is almost nothing, even when very young. Usually mentioning age differences in a marriage are only when there is a large age gap. Ehurtley ( talk) 11:23, 11 October 2017 (UTC) Ehurtley ( talk) 11:23, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
The article says she married a US Air Force serviceman, Dorf Weiss, in 1943. But the US Air Force didn't exist in 1943! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.253.84.30 ( talk) 17:35, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
