Hi! So you sent me a message talking about "Being involved in an edit war" and all that stuff, and I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention at all. In reality, my article, "Park Jimin (musician)" was created (approved) yesterday, however, it was created as a redirect article to the page BTS (band). How can I change that? I tried editing the source and putting the html all over again but after a few hours it went back on being a redirect page. I tried everything, but it still doesn't work... I'm sorry to bother, I'm just new in Wikipedia and this is my first article and I there's a lot of things I still don't know, so I was wondering if maybe you could help me? I really don't know what to do to get my article actually published. User:Cristinaclcardoso 01:17, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
I understand his work is related to the group activities, but you cannot compare Jimin (or any other member of BTS) to other kpop idols, because BTS is the most popular kpop group right now, so therefore the members are as well. Other kpop idols don't need an article for themselves because the group itself is only famous in South Korea. Also, Jimin's popularity is rising really fast these past few months, so I thought it was strange that he still didn't have his own Wikipedia page and decided to make one. He might not be the most famous artist in the world, with tons of solo work, but soon he will be doing more solo things and he'll become and even more popular, and people will want to read his Wikipedia page. Please, if you think the sources are not okay, tell me what should I do to make them better. This is the first article I've ever worked on, and I don't have a lot of experience with it. Tell me what should I do to turn this into an article, because other members of the group have a Wikipedia page, so I don't understand why can't he have one for himself too. @ Abdotorg, Snowflake91, and Thebestwinter: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cristinaclcardoso ( talk • contribs) 22:29, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
It's not a person opinion and it is not even biased, these are facts. What I don't understand is: why my article was approved then? And soon (very soon) he will need a Wikipedia page, so I don't get why he can't have one already. Statistically, they are the most popular group, and therefore a Wikipedia page for the members is demanded by a very large number of people. There's one member of the group (V (entertainer)) who has a Wikipedia page and he has done practically the same amount of solo work as Jimin. What's the difference? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cristinaclcardoso ( talk • contribs) 12:25, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I can. Also, Jimin has a wikipedia page in French, what's the difference between having a page in English or in French? And what about that other BTS member I mentioned, V, why can he have a Wikipedia page since he has done the same amount of solo work as Jimin, and Jimin can't? Even though he doesn't have a lot of solo coverage, popularity matters to some extent, because a lot of people who are interested in him, and not in the group as a whole, demand something such as a Wikipedia page so they can get to know more about him as an artist and as a person. And this is not the end of the career for him, more solo things will come soon. Anyways, thank you for answering, I just want to remind you I've never written an article before, so that's why the sources might not be the best, but I'll work on that and try to improve them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cristinaclcardoso ( talk • contribs) 17:41, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
This page should not be speedily deleted because it is an actual person, I couldn't rename it as Park Jimin at first because there are pages that are link to it and I don't know how to connect it with the other one
— Preceding unsigned comment added by ZettyMarie ( talk • contribs) 03:11, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
I already know this page will be deleted. Yoongi can't even keep a wiki page despite his composing, mixtape, and branching out to produce other people's albums. Jimin hasn't really done anything to separate him from BTS which is what they look at when a page is created for a member of a group. Ukiss2ne14lyfe ( talk) 03:27, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
This page should not be speedily deleted because Park Jimin is one of the most influential artists in the K-pop genre. He is apart of the Korean boy group BTS or Bangtan Boys which has now gained international attention and popularity. Because of the groups recent popularity, more and more people have been listening to the groups songs and researching the members. This is page is an important factor to the fandom and the image of BTS. Each member is special and deserves to be recognized for their own work.

Some articles I'm going to look at later for this:
Solo songs and albums should only be listed if they are released as his name. If they were a solo but are part of BTS, then it doesn't really count as a solo single/album. Please clarify with the references whether those two songs are credited to Park or BTS. AngusWOOF ( bark • sniff) 02:34, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

I'm thinking this is the most I can add to it. I'm only seeing little things here and there I may run into that I could add, unless someone else has stuff too. I'm still not sure it would pass. If it did I think it barely would due to the sparse solo section. Should we submit again or wait a while longer to see if Jimin does anything more notable outside of BTS? Just to pipe in (I'll locate some more of my own sources for this soon) I just wanted to let AngusWOOF know that Naver's news portal is an aggregator. There's a vetting process as to which sources can publish through it and reliability is part of the criteria, that's why WikiProject Korea has a blanket approval on all Naver articles. But please also note that since it's an aggregator, all articles are via independent sources hosted on Naver and should be treated as separate. (This is also why when doing citations it's generally discouraged to put Naver as the publisher, and preferred that the "work" parameter is credited to the actual source who wrote it.) A good comparison would be Google News, though the sites are not identical. The source of the article Naver is hosting is always pictured above the headline and there are always mirrors of the article on the source's own news site. As an example of this as well as a reliable source covering Jimin separate from BTS, see an article by Segye about the popularity of his solo tracks and the style and performance of said tracks. You can find it hosted on Naver as well as Segye's own site. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 03:58, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
A few articles about Jimin topping celebrity brand rankings were published in Sepetember: Chosun, ReKorea, News Inside Korea, Veritas A, and CNB News. All of these were found via Naver. In general I feel like these largely prove he passes WP:GNG but I'm curious as to what people who participated in the AfD think. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 04:17, 22 October 2018 (UTC)

There is a gig from 2013 Jimin and Taehyung got that does not have a primary source. They're all from secondary sources and I do not think anyone reported they were hosts then. I've been unable to find a primary source and it's been two months so I think it should be deleted. If someone can find a good source it can be added again though. I was also wondering if "Burn the Stage" should be included. That was a BTS thing it wasn't a separate gig that they got that would make it needed on the pages. Am I the only one who think it may be a good idea to hold off until these V Live are actually announced? Because from the looks of the site the award will be given to BTS, not Jimin and Jungkook, despite it being a solo V Live from the two of them. Paginating Ukiss2ne14lyfe for this.
While I'm here, do you think their order of merit award should be listed in their infobox? I noticed that an award of similar importance in the United States was listed on Elvis Presley's article, which is an FA. I didn't know if it was worth putting on the BTS members' pages, cause I could also reasonably see how that may be giving it too much prominence. Alexanderlee, Snowflake91, and AngusWOOF, you guys edit this page a lot so I'd love to hear your thoughs (as well as anyone's, of course). DanielleTH (Say hi!) 22:12, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

Jimin (singer, born 1995) → Jimin – Per WP:COMMONAME and WP:MONONYM, has the addition of "Only if the single name is used as a true artist's name (stage name, pseudonym, etc.) can the recommendations of Nicknames, pen names, stage names, cognomens below be followed" which easily applies to him. Although Jimin is a common name, I don't think it's necessary for his page name to have a disambiguator. He is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Have a look at his page views: [2]. Anyone looking for him only needs to type in his mononym, while anyone else would have to filter their searches for others who share his name. My editions about Music Station are repeatedly removed mainly by User:Btspurplegalaxy, but I think the reason is not valid. first with no reason, second with the claim of no relevance, third with them suspecting my intention and the last claims in the past the content was declined. I don’t think User:Btspurplegalaxy read the content because it is relevant to the individual and the third claim is violation of No personal attacks and the last claim is not supported by proof. My text was with reliable sources. The Asahi Shimbun is mainstream paper in Japan and Agence France-Presse is, as you know, one of the most famous of that kind . And on the page of the group, there is no mention about the individual. The program is one of the most famous music programs in Japan and Japan is one of the biggest market of them. Jimin (singer, born 1995) → Jimin – All sources within his article, identify him as Jimin. Per WP:COMMONAME and WP:MONONYM it should be titled accordingly. Those that share his name are disambiguated; some with hyphens, others with their surnames, and one who has long changed their name from Jimin to Jamie, so there would be no confusion in regard to which Jimin is being referred to. It's evident that Jimin is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC especially given these search results: results [8].

There have been two AFDs involving this subject: here and here. Editors must decide if the added content is enough to address the concerns about notability. For reference, here is a version of the latest redirected article. -- NeilN talk to me 20:49, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

Should the regular version of serendipity be added to charted songs too? It charted on a bunch of other stuff, but there is a page dedicated to it to that people can click. I was thinking the intro sufficed but I wanted to make sure. Ukiss2ne14lyfe ( talk) 03:17, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

Jimin (singer, born 1995) → Jimin (singer) – WP:SMALLDETAILS, since all other singer pages have the dash in Ji-min and he does not due to his stage name lacking it, there's no need to specify the year. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 00:45, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
Ukiss2ne14lyfe ( talk) 02:23, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

Therefore I think you can find notability of the event. In the first place, You can easily find the article of this event on the page of the group. 小出-小坂井 ( talk) 14:07, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Furthermore, Jimin is singularly listed on his official artist profile and uses it for official legal credits at the Korean Music Copyright Association. ( here, search "10005241" for his music credits. 52-whalien ( talk) 03:36, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
