It makes far more sense to me to name the page after the correct name of the item, therefore:
Page "Shikon jewel" moved to "Shikon no Tama".
The corresponding talk page was not moved.

I think this page should be moved to "Shikon Jewel" or "Jewel of Four Souls" even though bthe English spellings aren't as common as the Japanese one according to google. WhisperToMe 21:09, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)
You'll notice I swapped the Japanese names of the "Four Souls" to outside of the parenthesis while putting the English translation inside. This is because I'm fairly sure the actual Japanese names for "Courage", "Friendship", "Wisdom", and "Love" are used in the English dub. If I'm mistaken about this though, please feel free to change it back. Reene (リニ) 05:31, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)
While "Shikon Jewel" is still at 2nd place, the difference isn't as great. Also, consistency between articles in fiction is a must, and I found that the Japanese for the Centipede Mistress isn't used at all. WhisperToMe 23:19, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Fair enough on Mukade Jourou, but the japanese name should still be mentioned. I get kind of confused personally when I hear "mistress centipede" (considering no less than 4 separate centipede youkai appear in the anime, that's just in the episodes I've seen) but perhaps that's just me. Shikon no Tama also still gets far more hits than Shikon Jewel even with that search criteria- still almost double, it seems. Reene (リニ) 00:46, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)
But yea, I'm ensuring that the Japanese for Miss Centipede is there. WhisperToMe 23:12, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)
" Sacred Jewel" is way too generic a name, and Shikon No Tama / Jewel of Four Souls are specific enough that I fail to see the point in actually merging the two articles. Since it has been a while since anyone manifested anyway, I decided to remove the merge proposal notices and rewrite both articles. My apologies to anyone who thinks I overstepped my bounds, please tell me so if I did. Luis Dantas 20:16, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
The page says Her final adversary and the one that claimed her life was created by many yōkai joined and anchored within the evil heart of a human who secretly lusted for her. From what I remember, there is no "final adversary". It was just an army of yōkai that attacked her. -- Zeno McDohl 03:28, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
It also says the jewel was broken into hundreds of shards.. Wasn't it far fewer?
Kagome hasn't wished for the Shikon Jewel to dissappear yet, and Inuyasha is too caught up fighting Magatsuhi to have reached her yet, so someone should change that. Also, Magatsuhi tells Inuyasha Kagome's fate, but the article says it tells her that. What's up with that? 206.116.72.161 ( talk) 06:13, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Someone seems to have misunderstood my request. I want to know why the article calls the original demon/hanyou/whatever enemy of Midoriko's by the name "Magatsuhi". I've only seen the manga apply this name to a later manifestation of the jewel/demon's evil will. Magatsuhi appeared long after the creation of the jewel, and seemed to die without affecting the evil demon-stuff inside the Shikon no Tama. Dan ( talk) 05:12, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
