Panda Energy and Carter would later acquire Jarrett's minority stake in the company in 2009, placing Carter as Owner and Chairman of TNA.[24]
BUT TNA WIKI PAGE SAYS HE OWNS 29% of TNA.ALSO JEFF HAS SAID IN 2014 that he still owns 29% of TNA.
PLEASE FIND OUT THE REAL INFORMATION AND CORRECT IT.
Tell me why it's important to include in this article that his wife is dead. Nosleep1234 10:41, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
From where I sit, it summarizes the career of Jarrett, to which his dead wife is NOT relavant. Why did the 'personal life' section not exist before Mrs. Jarrett's passing (which, I might add, was so heavily reported by the dirtsheets everyone seems to hate), and why does it even now list NOTHING else? It doesn't help the article in the least. I can point to a ton of articles that have no personal life section and it makes no difference in the article quality. Just because information is out there doesn't mean it warrants inclusion. Shall we also include Jarrett's favorite brand of toothpaste should that become posted on a dirtsheet?
But since I'm just banging my head against a fucking wall, I think I better just walk away and let the older kid win. Nosleep1234 09:10, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

It should be noted that while it was stated at Slamiversary 08 that his match in 07 was his last match, it was in reference to his last match TO DATE, and not his last match EVER. This site makes it sound like he's retired. He in fact is not, as is evident by last Thursday's Impact! Is his award for 2005's Most Overrated Wrestler really appropriate? The section is entitled "Championships and Accolades." I hardly consider an insulting award like that to be an accolade. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.178.224.194 ( talk) 17:29, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
now im not even gonna bother editing this it made me laugh so much but lets have a look at the first paragraph:
Jeffrey "Jeff" Leonard Jarrett (born April 14, 1967) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. He is also Vice President and creative writer who founded the company with his father Jerry Jarrett. He is well known for his time in World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. Jarrett is a 10 time World Heavyweight Champion holding the WCW World Heavyweight title 4 times, the NWA World Heavyweight title 6 times and the WWA World Heavyweight Championship twice.
now it says hes a 10 time world champion, 4 times wcw, 6 times nwa and 2 time wwa, now that adds up to 12, what retard wrote that i wonder —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.206.55.10 ( talk) 06:31, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Someone change that and they also change Jarrett's Intercontinental Championship reigns to seven and it's supposedly six. Miss Lindsie ( talk) 01:16, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
I was just wondering who is the source considering the legitimacy of his twelve reigns? I wouldn't exactly count the two from the WWA in that count. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.144.179.34 ( talk) 06:06, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Someone change that to ten. Which is right? Miss Lindsie ( talk) 21:58, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
The WWA title is not a world title. When did PWI recognise it? When did any independant wrestling body recognise it? Every wrestling promotion considers their title to be a "world championship". It's clear bias to have it presented as a "world" championship. This needs sorted out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.71.29.190 ( talk) 11:09, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

In the intro it says he never won the 'WWE' Championship (he was never in the company when it was called that, so it should be changed to F) but he was a contender for it. I've just finished watching my old tapes from 1998 through to early 2000 and I can't remember him once getting a world title shot. Can someone enlighten me? Um...Jeff Jarrett was not born in LaGrange, Georgia or Hendersonville, Tennessee. I remember watching his DVD that he was born in Nashville, Tennessee and he was born on July 14th, 1967, not April 14th, 1967...someone please fix this! The article states that when his contract expired one day before a pay-per-view title defence, "...Jarrett had subsequently extorted WWF Chairman Vince McMahon for $300,000 in order to wrestle without a contract."
I'm not sure that "extort" is the right word to use there; extortion is a crime, and McMahon would have had legal avenues available to him had Jarrett legitimately extorted him. All this is was a case of a performer who (a) had been heavily advertised to appear at a particular event, but (b) was not legally required to perform at said event. In the business world, that's called leverage; McMahon needed Jarrett to perform, and as a free agent Jarrett was able to name his price. 70.26.163.71 ( talk) 15:06, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jeff Jarrett's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
