We know Lakeman was running for political office in 1926. At the youngest he was born in 1906, and that is the youngest. This means he is 106 if still alive. This would be rare but believable. Since we have no indications in the article he has done anything in the last 65 years, he is at best possibly alive.

Yeah I saw that one as well but hesitated to add it on the slight suspicion that he may be still alive or that it was a false positive. Pretty sure he's dead, I can maybe look for an obit when I get time. –
