While James Foster may be most famous as partner in an early firm of locomotiove engineers, his importance was as an ironmaster. The term 'iron worker' suggests some one who physically worked the iron themselves. That was lamost certainly not his role. However before I move this article to 'James Foster (ironmaster), I would approeciate the comments of others.

Support for move Peter I think ironmaster is a much better description of James Foster. I think he would have been seen as one of the "masters" rather than one of the "employees".
