Support Klein, Oppose Esdaile. Lord Mayors of London are generally not really politicians, but businessmen. The disambiguator is fine unless we know what his actual profession was (that would actually be better). --

I really can't see where that discussion came to conclusion you say it did. The decision to rename lists of lord mayors and mayors to simple lists of mayors is because the post-holder didn't always have the title of lord mayor and it makes the title of the article less verbose. However, Esdaile himself was a lord mayor, not a mayor. It seems odd to refer to a Lord Mayor of London simply as a mayor. --
