No legal proceedings have actually been issued by James Baillieu against BidEnergy. Despite numerous allegations made against BidEnergy and its Directors by James Baillieu, made to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), BID's shareholders and to the media, the ASX has not advised of any wrongdoing following its investigations. BidEnergy issued a statement to that effect, in consultation with the ASX, on 30 April 2019. https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20190430/pdf/444p75hwwjy8sw.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.101.55.110 ( talk) 00:40, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

@ Etzedek24:@ Alicia Kites:@ Elmidae:@ Juanma281984: and others with a genuine interest in this colourful character. I propose to give this article a good clean up. The note at the top is dead right, there are way too many quotes. It needs a good balance of criticism and contribution too. Any objections? Suggestions? Ideas? Given it a partial clean up to make more encyclopedic and shorter. Could do with even more shortening. CollinsStreet ( talk) 13:47, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
I think the “Notable legal matters” could be shortened even more to a few paras. There’s too much old stuff and too much non notable detail. CollinsStreet ( talk) 02:37, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
