Jagtap and with the other soldiers came towards Bekal Fort near Kasargod district in Kerala state presently ( which was in Karnataka at that time) to rule that region as per the suggestion of king Shivaji, Since there was no response from him so these Marata families settled in these region and adjusted with this religion. These migrated families changed their from Marata to Kannada for communication, till now they don't know Marati language. We can find more than 1,00,000 people in this area like Kasargod, mangalore, puttur, karkala, udupi, moodbidre etc.... — Preceding
