Well we are back. Thanks to everyone who helped cool down the rhetoric. I hope that it lasts. Guedalia D'Montenegro 05:42, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
I have had the article now full protected so that we can discuss the merits of the material being added or subtracted. Further, I will be archiving the entire contents of this talk page tomorrow and preparing to copy the current article minus what I interpret as NPOV to a sandbox within my user space. In general, what will happen is as follows:
I recommend that any users who do not have a user account register at their earliest possible convenience to make this process a little easier on everyone involved.
I should have everything in place by tomorrow at this time. Thanks for your time. CQJ 05:13, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
After a review of the article, I've decided that the entire thing needs a rewrite. There was a great expanse of weasel words and other miscellaneous verbage, so I think we just need to start over again.
The sandbox page is located at User:CQJ/sandbox. There is a detailed procedure for editing the page shown at the case page, which is Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-08-20 Jacob Neusner article. For now, we'll take the discussion there. In addition, this page has been archived to facilitate discussion if necessary. Thanks for your time. CQJ 03:19, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
The present article looks OK to me, including the critical section. Just how the "Sandbox" works is unclear, which is why I have put this note here rather than in it. The "Sandbox" also (confusingly) provides a too much abbreviated version of the bio, and my comment above refers only to the longer version available at the full "Jacob Neusner" protected entry. It is neither too long nor too short, and does an effective job in my opinion. There are a few minor typos (affecting the spelling of some words) needing correction.

I have removed this unsourced negative material in acordance with WP:BLP. If it is well-known, there will be a reliable source. If there is no reliable source, it can not be in the article. GRBerry 20:19, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
I think the criticism section is by now well established and documented. Please do not remove without discussion. Guedalia D'Montenegro 03:50, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
While making a routine edit (putting back reference to Leiberman's article) Somehow the latter half of the entry is not displaying. I hope it isn't something I did. The text appears int he edit section - just not when saved. Can anyone help. Also can anyone tell me what I did to make this happen - and hopefully avoid it in the future. Thanks Guedalia D'Montenegro ( talk) 15:04, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
I am no expert on this fellow, but the top of the article has no citations, and ought to be so tagged. It reads like a promotional biography. Further the page needs BLP tag, but I have no idea how to do that, so I shall just complain and hope you more competitant people can make the change. Paul, in Saudi ( talk) 06:37, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
