Though Jack Kelso's Medal of Honor citation gives his rank as private, as well as his Marine Corps biography, other references indication his rank as private first class. As a result of the following three references, I've opted to leave his infobox rank (final rank) as PFC:

1. USMC Korean War Commemoration, referenced.
2. Department of Defense Korean War Commemoration, referenced.
3. Photo of grave marker — inscribed with PFC, referenced.
