Please do not re-add Category:Bus manufacturers to this article. Category:Defunct bus manufacturers, which is already used here, is a subcategory of Category:Bus manufacturers. Adding the parent category is redundant and unnecessarily clutters the parent category. slambo 12:56, September 8, 2005 (UTC)
According to an old advertisement depicted
here, it appears that the Brill company later marketed used? unsold? streetcars as roadside diners. Would be interesting if someone knows more about this. --

@ CodeGeneratR: Hi, I've added the Capitol Diner to the products listed. Hwdirre ( talk) 05:03, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
The correct name of the business was J.G. Brill Company. Would someone please make the correction to the page name. Useddenim ( talk) 21:11, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
The result of the proposal was move per request. I would note the amazing disparity of 21 Google book results for the current title compared to 8,980 for the target title.-- Fuhghettaboutit ( talk) 17:06, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
J. G. Brill and Company → J.G. Brill Company — Company's name did not include "and", except possibly in its earliest years (but I find no evidence even of that); also, version omitting space between J. and G. is more common (but both were used by the company). SJ Morg ( talk) 07:41, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
I note the suggestion in 2010 by SJ Morg ( talk) was to both remove the "and" from the company title, and to remove the space between J[period] and G[period].
The response was:
Coming in much later, I see the "and" has gone but the space remains in the title.
If nobody objects I'll take action to modify the title later this month. If anybody does object, I'll be happy to join in the discussion. SCHolar44 ( talk) 20:02, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
In the late 1920s the Uruguayan's "State Rail and Tram"(FTE) bought two batches of Brill 55 and at least a batch of Brill 60 railcars, these where re-motorized with Diesel Engines in the 1950s and the Brill 55 operated until 1989 while the last Brill 60 ceased operations in the 2010s (seriously), the Center of Rail Studies of the Uruguay has a unit of both models in restauration proccess 167.58.255.55 ( talk)
