The name of the regiment is Jägerregiment 1 (Jaegerreginent 1), not Air Assault Infantry Regiment. Air Assault is just one of the capabillities ot this 1.800 Jägers (Jaegers).
The unity is based manly in Schwarzenborn the heartland of the Hessian Jägers Light Infantry. This kind of military tradition maybe should be known in the staates. Till june, 30. 2015 the 4., 6. und 9. Kompanie of JR1 in Hammelburg will be deactivated.
Up from july, 1. 2015 the regiment will be reorganized as Jägerbattallion 1 and only be stationed in Schwarzenborn, Hessen. --

It is a barefacedness to call the regiment not by his correct name Jägerregiment. Who do you think will find the articel till it is listed not under the name of the unit?

While I support our general guidance to use English translations for the titles of military units, I agree with you on this one. I can't find anything online about this unit being called "Air Assault Infantry Regiment", and that isn't part of its name; our other articles on 'Jäger' units use the German word. —
