Athletics at the 1912 Summer Olympics – Men's marathon and Sweden at the 1912 Summer Olympics labels his participation as DNF - did not finish. In the book "Sympatiens hemlighetsfulla makt" it says he had to abstain from the competition due to illness. (The book is not focused on the sport part of his life.) On this page made by one of his relatives living today, about members of the family [1] it says he wanted to compete in the Olympics but they didn't accept him. The question is what to believe. -- Stighammar ( talk) 02:40, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
In the book Sympatiens hemlighetsfulla makt it says (p. 255) that Lönnberg died during the last weeks of the war. Since the war ended in november this can not be the case. It's either a complete misunderstanding, or the turns of the war in May 1918 would somehow have removed his union from action. If someone can clear that out it's interesting, otherwise we just leave it out. -- Stighammar ( talk) 09:55, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
