No, that is unlikely. Apparently he studied law in the south of France for one year (at age 18 or 19), but there's no evidence that he went on to become a lawyer, and I don't see any interviews where he ever claimed to be a lawyer. Ivan Doroschuk is not listed as a lawyer by either the Law Society of British Columbia (where he now lives) or the Barreau du Québec (where he used to live). Lwarrenwiki (

It seems that somebody here is trying to change history, but it's well-sourced factual information that Ivan was born in 1957. However painful that fact might be to Ivan or his colleagues, it's a verifiable fact from reliable published third-party sources. Note that Ivan's younger brother Colin was born in 1959 (see
