As on some Wikipedia pages about specific indigenous peoples of the United States, where I live, I see here the tendency when discussing natives of Siberia etc. to allow, or even put forth, the "vanished noble" motif. This is usually unintentionally, but still genuinely, dehumanizing to living cultures. Appropriate photos and their sources can be found here (Turn Off Your Cookies!): http://englishrussia.com/2010/02/15/russian-indians/ ...regardless of the article's dumb title. Thanks for reading.
