During the night of 16/17 June, President Pétain proposed an
armistice to the German government. On 20 June, the French government asked the Italian government for an armistice.[1]
Hi. I just want to know that why is the result of infobox is Inconclusive when the invasion of France by Italy actually ended in armistice? Regards from

Jheeeeeeteegh, I for my part agree with you and had already changed that some days ago, "inconclusive" is superfluous, as it is the redirect to a part of this very article ("see afternath"). Also, the latter paragraph of the intro is too incomplete ("Between August 1944 and May 1945, French forces again faced Italian troops along the Alpine frontier" etc). It should be changed into something like this:
Italian troops extended their occupation zone during
operation Anton in 1942. On
8 september 1943, the Italian zone was taken over by the Germans. Italian soldiers and partisans then fought alongside the French resistance and the Allies against the Germans and the Fascist forces of the collaborationist
Italian Social Republic. France managed to reoccupy all the lost territory in the
Second Battle of the Alps (April-May 1945).
The way it's written now ("French forces faced again Italian troops in 1944-1945") makes it seem that Italy was still at war with France in 1944-1945 (while it had switched sides by that point) and was still occupying an area that was actually under German occupation.

I know right. Inconclusive means both sides achieve their strategies. But this one ended in the armistice. There is no decisive moves at both sides .So here's my proposition. The Resultbox must stay as a Armistice as both sides ended fighting by armistice, not formal disengagement .Sorry for my bad English. Regards from
