First, the word "istrebitel" means something along the lines of "exterminator". It is not named after the meaning of fighter aircraft. Second, it is not "istrebitel sputnik", but "istrebitel sputnikov". The difference might look small, but it is important, marking a genitive case. The name means "exterminator of satellites". @ Flyer22 Reborn: I'm not sure why you decided to roll back the changes I made, I believe I explained the reasoning behind the changes pretty explicitly. I'm also not the first one to mention the fact that the translation is incorrect, as you can see by the note left below by Dunkelfalke more than half a year ago. I am a native speaker of both Russian and English, with 15 years of life in the US and Russia respectively. Is there a reason beyond you not "thinking it's constructive" to have an incorrect translation published on the page? 5.165.77.154 ( talk) 01:01, 13 December 2019 (UTC)Mace
I agree with the name change to "-ov" (I have studied a little Russian) but the disambiguation (Soviet project) is unneeded as there is no other article named Istrebitel Sputnikov with which this article could be confused. I suggest moving it to just Istrebitel Sputnikov. I could do it right away, but I think it's best to wait in case there is some disagreement about the article name.
