I hadn't heard of the transliteration that the anon put in, but Prunier states it as "Failaka al-Islamiya". Also, I don't remember much from my Arabic language classes but the current Arabic script الفيلق الإسلامي definitely has an "al" at the beginning. - Banyan Tree
I'm reinstating my objection (since it was never addressed) to the paragraphing of a work that qualifies the Islamic Legion as if it is Wikipedia's opinion. Do we really know that it was a "militantly racist" unit? If so, why?
