I was reading this Freedom House article and recalling all of the free Qur'ans the Saudis give out and criticisms of Saudi translations and wondering what would be a good basis of works to start this section out with? I don't think I'd do it with only the Freedom House article. Suggestions? gren グレン 17:18, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
The articles at the commercial website http://www.stratfor.com/ ( Stratfor) are not directly available at the indicated links, shouldn't they be replaced by proper articles on (scientifically approved rather than "intelligence") websites available without having to identify oneself as a prerequisite ? -- Pylambert ( talk) 16:45, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
I have never seen the 40% Wahhabi figure anywhere else, except in the Stephen Schwartz interview. Other claims made, including that Saddam Hussein support Wahhabism are doubtful. ( 101.164.40.29 ( talk) 09:46, 5 July 2013 (UTC))
"The majority of the fifteen to twenty million Saudis are Salafi Muslims, an orthodox movement within Sunni Islam." I don't agree: We could either speak about the madhhab or Fiqh [of the majority], which is Hanbiliyya, or stress the role of Theologian Abdel Wahhab and speak of Wahabiyya. I would prefer the "technic" of Islamic jurisprudence which follows HANBAL. (Or: Do we dare to admit that world-wide "Salafism" is nothing but Neo-Hanbaliyya?). 91.61.209.230 ( talk) 18:09, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
