I removed this from the article:
The editors of this page are two Irvington High School Students who have been assigned by the principal to administrate the page. He has requested the 'bomb threats' section be removed. We, as the editors, request that who is re-posting that section after we remove it to please stop. Thank you.
The bomb threat material is of historical interest. It can be rewritten to indicate that it's no longer curent, but it shouldn't be removed entirely.
Also, please note that your declaration indicates that you have a conflict of interest in regards to this page, since the interests of the principal of IHS, on whose behalf you are acting as agents, may not coincide with the interests of the encyclopedia. See WP:COI for more information on this.
I, personally, don't have a problem with students editing an article about the school they attent, but you should inform your principle that he has no more status here then any other editor, and no control over what appears on this page. If you want to continue editing, I suggest you do so on your own behalf, and not under orders from someone else, but, given your declaration, your edits will presumably be under scrutiny (as indeed, almost all edits on Wikipedia are).
I'll post this on your talk pages as well. Ed Fitzgerald (unfutz) ( talk / cont) 02:29, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
I have reworded the bomb threat material into something more neutral and historical, and also moved it down farther into the article. I did this to deliberately reduce its promanence: bomb threats may be a historical fact that should not be deleted this near to when they occurred; but they are not the purpose of the school, and should not be given more than passing weight.
I would suggest the following additional steps should be taken:
Hope this helps. Loren.wilton ( talk) 03:28, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
