European Irish →
Irish people in Continental Europe
Irish people in mainland Europe— As this is what this article is about,
Irish people in
Continental Europe. "European Irish" is an absolutely horrible neologistic title, completely contrived and meaningless, since the Irish are a
European people while Ireland is part of the
European Union. No references to support "European Irish" as being used by any reliable sources. See similarly titled articles, such as
Irish people in Jamaica,
Chinese people in Germany,
Koreans in Japan and
French people in Korea.—

It is one of the most contrived, unencyclopaedic articles I've ever come across. Example: "We find Irish playing here with local soccer, rugby , darts and GAA clubs here; quite often these clubs are set-up by those in the Irish communities here." Who's we? Wikipedia? Where are the population statistics from? The pub statistics?-- Damac ( talk) 16:01, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
