If memory serves wasnt Irbid the location of where the PLO set up their defacto state during the 1970 civil war? If so that seems to be a major history point to add?

I dropped this pair of sentences, it seems to be a push to get an R&D center for Irbid. It would need sourcing and relevance, I should think, to be readded. I won't kill it again if someone disagrees, but I will tag it.
