The abbreviation IED is used three or four times and although most people probably know what it means I was wondering who thought it would be a good idea to make it IED (linked) since that redirects to the Improvised Explosive Device page. I just want to point this out to see if anyone else thinks that's wise and will take the initiative. user talk:Grenavitar

"the perception that the coalition had failed to deliver on its promises" This obviously implies that there was a false perception. However, it leaves the reader wondering what the false perception was. What promises were delivered on, but mistakenly thought not? Or, what promises were not really made, but mistakenly thought so? Primarily, this leaves the reader wondering what promises or imputed promises are being referred to here. An encyclopedia article might be better without mysteries of this sort?
The repeated use of the phrase "foreign fighters" to refer to forces other than Coalition troops is extremely confusing. -- Eric Forste 22:48, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
Just to get the ball rolling. Perhaps an insertion on the various groups in Iraq? Especialy what are the groups' names, what they are fighting for; besides the same old Sunni-Shiite division. There are also Sunni-Sunni divisions, nationalists, etc. -- A5ph 09:28, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

I changed the result from insurgent victory because that just historically inaccurate. Thereβs nothing that supports a temporary insurgent victory. Rshfl75th ( talk) 08:23, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
