I noticed that the article describes the Ingersolls as being loyalists, but when you link to Thomas's article and then to his daughter Laura Secord/Ingersoll they are mentioned as not being loyalists. Are they or aren't they? Ozdaren 14:54, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
seems to me that Thomas Ingersoll was NOT a loyalist, but that his daughter, Laura, married into the Loyalists when she became a Secord. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vkns ( talk • contribs) 12:21, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I would like to see a bit about the town's politics. Perhaps some information on the change from Ingersoll Police to OPP. You should also add some info on the town's drinking and drug problems (i.e. the excessive bar fights and increasing population of young people using hard drugs)> —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.95.139.180 ( talk) 18:45, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
I completely disagree, Drug and Alcohol problems are known issues in every town and city, no matter the size. I also disagree that the bar fights should be noted... every bar has fights, it only gets worse if the bar gets bigger. This article is due for excessive cleanup, most of the sections were added by the looks of it, just to garnish some attention towards a specific program. The article isn't even divided into sections properly. ( 64.231.97.83 ( talk) 22:09, 29 October 2008 (UTC))
I don't think Ingersoll is big enough or notable enough to warrant the auto-redirect. I think that Ingersoll should be moved to the disambiguation page. CrazyC83 ( talk) 01:31, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Can anyone contribute to information about the town's heavy reliance on auto industry and effects of economic slowdown? i.e. the recent month long complete shutdown of the C.A.M.I. plant. Anyone have any numbers on how many people from Ingersoll rely on the auto sector for employment? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.232.184.111 ( talk) 19:21, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Claiming that CAMI is owned 50% by a foreign company is misleading. It may seem like a simple nuance, but it is misleading nonetheless. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Urbinsanity1 ( talk • contribs) 16:01, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
can anyone insert the picture of the town crest in the sidebar? i don't know how to do this but the picture can be found at http://www.ingersoll.ca/images/towncrest.png
thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.15.79.222 ( talk) 17:20, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
