I note from Communist Party of Vietnam that this seems to have been a very short lived party, rejoining with the Communist Party of Annam to form the current communist party. I also note that the dates from the article on the Communist Party of Annam (which was presumably formed at the same time as this one) aren't really consistent with the February (year unspecified) formation date this article currently presents for this party. Could this be cleared up? Ka Faraq Gatri ( talk) 00:26, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
"Indochinese Communist Party" is simply an old name for "Communist Party of Vietnam" so there is no reason for this to be a separate article. In Vietnamese Wikipedia, "Đảng Cộng sản Đông Dương" (Which is Indochinese Communist Party) is redirect to "Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam" (which is Communist Party of Vietnam). So I don't see anything reason for this to be a separate article. Nguoibattudocco ( talk) 21:16, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
The organization of Indochinese Communist Party is the same of the Communist Party of Vietnam, but the Indochinese Communist Party (1930-1951) included communist forces of Laos and Cambodia. In 1951 it was decided to split it into three different parties, 1 for each nation. In Vietnam, to hide the communist roots, in February 1951 it took the name Labour Party of Vietnam, which in turn became the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1976 after merging with People's Revolutionary Party (Vietnam). In Cambodia it took the name Khmer People's Revolutionary Party in 1951, but in Laos it took four years to organize the Lao People's Party. I wouldn't merge the 2 articles. - Carlo58s ( talk) 14:03, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
