The Wigwam Inn section is written blatantly like an advertisement, especially the last few sentences in that paragraph. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.103.168.148 ( talk) 20:13, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Since the creation of Indian Arm Provincial Park it seems that any plans to build a Port Moody-Squamish highway have been (theoretically) nixed, but it's still noteworthy enough to have something on; similarly there have been calls for a bridge from Deep Cove/Dollarton to Belcarra as a commuter route, though the politics of the equation weigh against it. Just noting these; and also maybe the Britannia's regular trips into Indian Arm to see Granite Falls, which go back decades, should be mentioned. Skookum1 ( talk) 12:16, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
....partly for categorization reasons in both cases; Wigwam Inn has much more that could be said about its history and various categories would apply to it, including private clubs as well as tourist destinations (even if only in the past); steamer landing also applies. In Buntzen's case Category:Electrical generating stations in British Columbia applies, and there's two powerhouses, one now defunct; Buntzen Power Project may be a better title where both of them could be. There had also been a small Hydro community at Buntzen, up a set of stairs (long ones, I'm told by people who lived there) on the crest of the hill/mountain between there and the lake. Granite Falls, also, farther up, was a destination for tour boats, I'm not sure if it had a separate lodge from the Wigwam. All of these at one time, including Deep Cove, were reached only by water taxi/tour boat from the old passenger docks in Gastown (via underpasses across the CPR tracks). The link to Twin Islands (British Columbia) under Recreation and parks is not correct. Rather there are a pair of islands by that name on the east side of Indian Arm, a km or 2 northeast of Belcarra. 49.226.242.10 ( talk) 05:46, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
