I see no evidence on this website that this is a definite party organisation at all, and not just a label some people ran under. I do know a little bit about both Niall Blaneys. PatGallacher 15:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure that IFF was never registered as a political party under the 1963 Electoral Act. The relevant piece is §13:
Candidates were thus listed on ballot papers as "Non-party". Whether this placed limits on using "Independent Fianna Fáil" on posters I don't know; probably those were not regulated till later Electoral Acts.
