I think immunization has been around for a long time, certainly the seeds go back at least as far as Macauley. Therefore I'm taking out the uninformative Prudential Assurance story. If anybody knows the details of this story and can source them, please add them back.

Greetings Wikipedians! Today I took the first step towards beefing up the inline citations. As you can see, at present we're leaning heavily on a single source which I am confident is reliable.
