This sounds like Italian, which,according to wordreference.com has "maquillage" as a loan word from French. It is masculine in both French and Italian. The article "il" is correct for Italian masculine words, but the French masculine singular article is "le", not "il". So, it sounds as if the name of this product is derived from Italian, not directly from French. JohnOFL ( talk) 02:29, 3 February 2024 (UTC) reply
