Somebody added a pic of a polled sheep. It is nice, but I would like a picture without fancy cropping effects. Is there a version without the oval effect over it? Isoxyl 12:04, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
there are no llamas in iceland at all and no lamas guarding the sheeps so reimoved the link —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.149.107.137 ( talk) 19:55, 23 January 2007 (UTC).
I am removing the list of sheep breeders, because I don't think the Wikipedia should be an advertisement for various breeders, but not others. A Google search should find breeders for anyone interested. It just doesn't seem fair to those not listed, plus each interested breeder who comes along with a website seems to add their own to the list. Four is too many, and it would only be fair to remove them all. If you disagree, please give thoughts here, but otherwise list is removed for now. Isoxyl 18:14, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Someone edited the 'Color' section on 9-14-14, to add 'white' as one of the base colors. White is not a base color of Icelandics, only moorit (brown) and black are. I wanted to post on the talk page before reverting this edit, in case someone wanted to discuss it, and to hopefully avoid someone re-editing it back in and accusing me of starting an edit war. There are also some other edits I would like to do in this article, such as to clarify some things in the Color genetics section, and update the Milking section (removing a statement that has gone unsourced for years, and referencing a study I may need some help with as I don't read Icelandic). I'm still a novice at editing on Wikipedia, how long do I give the person who made the above mentioned edit, before I edit it back? Ruralgal ( talk) 03:01, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
The sheep in the top photo certainly does not have a short fluke shaped tail as specified in the breed description -- is it really an Icelandic? 109.146.254.74 ( talk) 11:13, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
