I removed The Fabulous Thunderbirds (1981) from the listing of bands who have covered the Bartholomew / King classic "I Hear You Knockin'." The song which is on the Fab. Birds 1981 album Butt Rockin' is not the same song. The version on their album was penned by producer and songwriter J.D. Miller. See: http://www.discogs.com/artist/J.D.+Miller

Lazy Lester recorded a different "I Hear You Knockin'" in 1959 (Excello 2155), credited to J. D. "Jay" Miller. His song has been recorded by several artists, including the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Canned Heat. Removed these from the "Versions" section. - Ojorojo ( talk) 19:56, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
I would argue that the Dave Edmunds version is new wave, not roots rock. The Mo-Ja'al ( talk) 05:22, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
The image of the 7" single cover is of the German release, as shown at discogs.com here. There is another image at eBay here. The source for the current image at rateyourmusic.com is this, but it does it give any country of release. But as rateyourmusic.com fails WP:RS at WP:NOTRSMUSIC anyway, there is an argument the image itself should not be shown? Martinevans123 ( talk) 14:46, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
