I guess it's time for that long awaited upgrade for many users who are still on 4. Also, I saw an article that many people will be forced to upgrade their iPhone since iOS 8 no longer supports it. Giggett ( talk) 23:15, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
What's your point? MrCellular ( talk) 23:45, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
I'm not familiar with articles around Apple products, but I just checked on the Windows 8 article, and it doesn't have nearly the level of detail about product specs that this one does. That laundry list looks like both advertising/promotion for Apple, and a free specialized service to Apple users not in line w/ Wikipedia's information mission 'for the masses.' I propose killing that box, and letting some knowledgeable person replace it with a summary of the new system's features. Regards Tapered ( talk) 04:06, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
This is the last sentence of the lede: "Voice and video messages will be automatically deleted unless the user saves them for future reference." Is there a source for this that anyone is aware of? -- BCorr| Брайен 00:30, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Reference #31 ("Install iOS 8 Beta Without UDID Registration". June 3, 2014.) seems to be a redirect now (Should we cry SEO?). Anyway. The original information seems to be in the archive. How do I update the reference? Boiert ( talk) 21:24, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
Source #36 is also almost entirely nonsense. While there are many reputable sources for people with iPhone 4S problems under iOS 8 (New York Times, anyone?), this is just a collection of vague assertions and unimplementable suggestions ("use a 3rd party app to keep RAM under control" -- WTF does that mean?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.173.127.110 ( talk) 14:26, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
I realize that the day's not over, but the page says it will be released today. The business day is just about over, and it's still not released. Is the page wrong? Is Apple having problems? -- 198.24.31.70 ( talk) 19:35, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

Your topic is extremely informative. To further on your topic of problems with iOS8, here is an article on how to fix those problems http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/10/07/moto-g-2014-release-continues-in-the-u-s/ Hannah Elyasi ( talk) 14:37, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
Look, in iOS beta versions, DO NOT ADD YOUR OWN REQUESTS!!! to their respective sections. An example from the template is Must improve performance on iPad (3rd and 4th generations) [1]. A telltale sign of this is the use of the word "Must", like the writer is hoping that Apple will do this, but is not part of the change log. Please do not do this, as this is not a fact confirmed by the beta change log, which can easily be accessed by a quick Google search. Plus, refrain from placing performance issues to other parts of the article, since that is mainly opinion based too. Head to the talk page to talk about it. P.S. I will report you to a admin if this continues. Kobepedia ( talk) 15:52, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
While I agree that way too many sections highlighting each new feature of the operating system has somehow found its way into the article, the description of the features themselves have been written in an encyclopedic manner, complying with the Neutral Point of View. -- Unnivava ( talk) 15:11, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
This content is duplicated on the History of iOS page since the subst and delete outcome for the templates for discussion: /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2015_February_7#IOS_History_Templates. Maintaining two separate change logs on two pages is unnecessary. NeoGeneric ( talk) 10:35, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
This article contains a large part of text in the Problems section based on a forum post. While the text is interesting and the problem seems real (though it dates back several versions of iOS), a forum post is not a reliable source and I'm removing it. -- Steven Fisher ( talk) 01:13, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
This is the reason why iOS 8 is unavailable for iPhone 4: Many of the new features in iOS 8 rely on hardware (such as Bluetooth LTE) which your phone does not have, and it would run very slowly. You would not be happy. I found that on the Apple Web site. 216.145.89.11 ( talk) 22:29, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
