What is a 3,265 mm (10 ft 8.5 in)(?) wide Velaro D doing in tha infobos of ICE 3? Such a wide train simply does not fit into the German loading gauge. Peter Horn User talk 17:55, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
A full ICE 3 has 8 passenger cars. It can be split into two half trains with 4 cars each; these can be easily combined with other ICE 3 half trains (obvious). ICE 3 half trains can be connected on both sides.
