MH section is missing a lot of information after it left Hispaniola. Hurricane Typhoon Cyclone 22:20, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
We students-studying science-at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are inquiring on name retirements. Gustav, Ike and Paloma are the most likely to be retired, but could, Dolly & Fay & Hanna be retired alongside these names? Consider when Hurricane Gordon swept over Florida, Haiti and Southeast United States and caused really major death tolls but was not retired. But could the same happen with Hanna?

NHC site has been update - NOT retired. Good call on keeping (2008) in the name. It should have been retired, I agree, but not totally surprising since Haiti has a poor record on names. CrazyC83 ( talk) 13:52, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Not retired probably due to the low damage, damage and death should be balanced. HurricaneSpin Talk My contributions 00:54, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
